As Mozambique is gearing up for general elections on the 9th of October, security remains fragile following reports of Islamist terrorists ambushing a Rwandan police patrol on Saturday night, in Mocimboa da Praia district, in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado.
The incident claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl who was accidentally shot by the terrorists.
The government says the situation is under control.
