Malawi's former president Peter Mutharika has declared his bid to stand again during the 2025 Presidential Election.

Mutharika told his Democratic Progressive Party supporters and delegates to Wednesday's National Governing Council that he will first seek re-election at a convention slated for December 26 and 27.
