Civil society groups in Malawi urged the government to reconsider its position on the Gaza conflict criticizing its current stance as inconsistent with the nation's values of peace and respect for humanity.
Assaboni Phiri, the national coordinator of the Malawi Palestine Solidarity Movement accused the government of supporting what he called - Israel's "genocidal actions" in Gaza, where nearly 42,000 people - mostly women and children have died over the past year.
