Former Madagascan Foreign Affairs Minister, Richard Randriamandrato, has commended South Africa's former president, Thabo Mbeki, for launching the inaugural African Peace and Security Dialogue, organised by the Thabo Mbeki Foundation.
The conference, held over the weekend in Johannesburg, South Africa, focused on the theme "Towards a Peaceful and Secure Africa: Challenges and Opportunities." Randriamandrato, who is also a candidate for the African Union Commission Chairmanship, discussed his views on the AU, as well as his ambitions and priorities if elected.
Channel Africa's reporter, Michael Mbewe, interviewed him on the sidelines of the summit.
