City of Johannesburg MMC for Community Development, in South Africa's Gauteng province, Tebogo Nkonkou, has honoured the legacy of the late human rights lawyer and activist Bheki Mlangeni, praising his sacrifice in the struggle against apartheid. Speaking at the official reopening of a newly refurbished park in Jabulani, Soweto on Thursday Nkonkou reflected on the activist's contribution to South Africa's freedom. Mlangeni was killed in a bomb blast in Soweto in 1991 at the age of 32. Channel Africa's Micheal Mbewe has more on the story.
