Kagame defends Rwanda's stance on DR Congo conflict, citing FDLR security concerns and US sanctions

 President Paul Kagame has again defended Rwanda's position on the conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, putting the FDLR at the centre of Kigali's security concerns. Speaking during a press conference in Kigali, Kagame also addressed Rwanda's strained relations with Burundi, responded to sanctions imposed by the United States, and criticised what he described as self-inflicted problems on the African continent.
