Ghana's High Commissioner to South Africa, His Excellency, Benjamin Anani Quashie has confirmed that a plane carrying 300 Ghanaians is due to depart from South Africa any day now. Speaking to SABC News on Wednesday, Quashie said Accra may avail more flights to any Ghanians who feel unsafe in South Africa following anti-illegal immigrant protests and targeted economic disruptions in several cities. Tensions reached a breaking point following a viral video showing a Ghanaian national being accosted and harassed. South Africa's Parliament's Impeachment committee on President Cyril Ramaphosa, is expected to meet this morning (Wednesday) to elect an evidence leader from a shortlist of five senior advocates. The committee was established following a ruling of the Constitutional court in May - directing that it should investigate whether President Ramaphosa should be removed from office, relating to the stolen money from his private game farm in the Limpopo province. Ramaphosa launched an urgent bid in the Western Cape High court to halt the committee from proceeding with its work, pending his review application of the Section 89 Independent Panel report. Judgment regarding the urgent interdict is expected to be heard on Friday. We now speak to Lawson Naidoo,  Executive Secretary of the Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution (CASAC)
