Ghana's High Commissioner to South Africa, His Excellency, Benjamin Anani Quashie has confirmed that a plane carrying 300 Ghanaians is due to depart from South Africa any day now. Speaking to SABC News on Wednesday, Quashie said Accra may avail more flights to any Ghanians who feel unsafe in South Africa following anti-illegal immigrant protests and targeted economic disruptions in several cities. Tensions reached a breaking point following a viral video showing a Ghanaian national being accosted and harassed.
