A new report by Human Rights Watch (HRW) has accused the Rwandan-backed M23 rebel group of summarily executing at least 21 civilians in Goma’s Kasika neighbourhood and surrounding areas between February 22 and 23, 2024. raising serious concerns about war crimes.

In an interview with Channel Africa Radio on Wednesday, HRW’s Senior Great Lakes researcher, Clémentine de Montjoye, detailed findings gathered through months of investigation.

Several civil society organisations led by the Aids Healthcare Foundation gathered in Johannesburg, South Africa, to call on the European Union( EU) to stop blocking Health Equity ahead of the final negotiations of the World Health Organisation Pandemic Treaty.
