Dr Pali Lehohla is a Social Activist and Columnist . He is the former Statistician-General of South Africa. A position he held from the year 2000 up to 2017. He has served as the Chair of the United Nations Statistics Commission. He was also the founding chair of the Statistics Commission of Africa (StatCom Africa).
He is the Founder of the Pan African Institute for Evidence. A Researcher who has written intensively about socio-economic issues on the continent, especially in South Africa. In a recent piece, he argues that the country could learn a lot from its former coloniser British.
