The latest report on femicides has revealed that 60 percent of all female homicides are committed by an intimate partner or a family member. This as the world marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The report ,Femicides in 2023: Global Estimates of Intimate Partner/Family Member Femicides by UN Women and UNODC reveals that femicide is the most extreme form of violence against women and girls-remains pervasive globally.
