Families of the Life Esidiment tragedy in South Africa are calling for the former Health MEC in Gauteng province and the former Mental Health Director be charged for the deaths of some of the 144 mental health patients who died after being transferred from a resourced Life Esidimeni facility - to ill-equipped and unlicensed NGOs - over eight years ago.
They were speaking at the launch of a book titled - Life Esidimeni Portraits of lives lost - which details the stories of people who lost their loved ones in the tragedy.
Channel Africa's Sisi Segalo attended the launch and filed this report.
