Vote counting is underway in Ethiopia, following a parliamentary election widely expected to hand Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and his ruling Prosperity Party another term in office. The Monday election will determine the composition of the House of Representatives and ultimately the country's next prime minister. More than 50 million people were registered to vote, but there was no election in the Tigray region because of the ongoing conflict, and voting in the Oromo and Amhara regions were interrupted due to security problems.
