The Energy Inward Buying and Investment Mission is currently underway in Cape Town, in South Africa's Western Cape province.

The six-day event which had two legs both in Johannesburg and Cape Town is a partnership between the Export Credit Insurance Company (ECIC), the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the South African Electrotechnical Export Council (SAEEC).

Delegates from some African countries are in attendance.

Several civil society organisations led by the Aids Healthcare Foundation gathered in Johannesburg, South Africa, to call on the European Union( EU) to stop blocking Health Equity ahead of the final negotiations of the World Health Organisation Pandemic Treaty. They say the treaty cannot move forward until the Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing ( PABS) Annex is finalized.   The Annex determines how pathogen samples are shared and whether all countries benefit from vaccines.
