These are some of the questions in the global response to climate change Dr Katye Altieri, winner of the Oppenheimer Memorial Trust's New Frontiers Research Award for 2025 seeks to uncover.
Dr Altieri, an Associate Professor in Oceanography at the University of Cape Town in South Africa was announced as the winner of the award at a function in Johannesburg.
