COSATU youth demand increased spending on jobs, infrastructure and public services ahead of budget statement

Young workers affiliated with South Africa's trade union federation COSATU are calling for increased government spending as Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana prepares to table the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement in Parliament today. They want greater investment in infrastructure, job creation and public services, as well as relief from rising fuel costs. The workers argue that government must move away from austerity measures and do more to stimulate economic growth and tackle unemployment. Channel Africa's economics reporter, Innocent Semosa, reports.
