COSATU Congress Adjourned Amid Dispute Over Deputy President Mike Shingange’s Status

The Congress of South African Trade Unions, COSATU, has adjourned its 15th National Congress after a dispute over the status of its First Deputy President, Mike Shingange, contributed to the federation failing to reach a quorum. The development has left the leadership elections and other outstanding business unresolved.
