Talking Points:

-The Republic of Congo is taking steps to bolster its national armed forces by  securing contracts for new armoured vehicles from Nigerian firm SecPro Africa and Chinese giant Norinco,

-At least 60 people were killed during a funeral in eastern DRC, in an assault carried out by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), an armed group affiliated with ISIL (ISIS),

-The Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) released its report on Gabon's 2025 Presidential Election, calling for urgent reforms to strengthen democratic institutions,

-The DRC has confirmed its 16th Ebola outbreak, with at least 15 deaths, underscoring challenges from weak health systems and ongoing conflict,

-The Central African Republic is launching a $12.8 billion investment program across all sectors aiming to reduce poverty,  install fiber optic cable, and raise electrification from 4% to 38% by 2028,

-In the Central African Republic, where less than 20% of children are vaccinated,  MSF uses motorcycles and canoes to reach remote areas for vital vaccination campaigns.
