The month of May is recognized as Africa Month, a time to celebrate the continent's vibrant culture, heritage, and the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963, now the African Union (AU).
Observed annually on May 25th, this year's African Month is being celebrated under the theme "United in Resilience for the Defence of Our Freedom and Democracy."
