CCC Leader Nelson Chamisa calls for a dialogue with President Mnangagwa

View descriptionShare

Zimbabwe's Opposition leader Nelson Chamisa has called for a dialogue with President Emmerson Mnangagwa's Zanu-PF after what he called a constitutional crisis, which saw more than a dozen MPs and councillors being recalled.

The MPs and councillors were recalled by Sengezo Tshabangu claiming to be CCC's interim secretary general citing they had ceased to be opposition members.

Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda acknowledged Tshabangu's letter and notified the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission of vacancies. At a press briefing this week, Chamisa blamed Zanu PF for choreographing the existing controversy, adding there is a need for dialogue.

To unpack this further Nhlanhla Mahlangu spoke to political analyst Rejoice Ngwenya.
