China's President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with Botswana's President Duma Boko this week.

To discuss more about the long-standing relations between the two countries is Dr Emmanuel Matambo, Research Director at the Centre for Africa China Studies at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

The International Organisation for Migration - IOM says almost one million people have been displaced in the Middle East, as the region is facing a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian crisis with escalating conflict in both Lebanon and Iran.  The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - UNFIL says the situation in south Lebanon has deteriorated since Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack on  Israel.
