The African Unite Borders Bus Trucks Association (AUBBTA) has raised concerns over the suspension of trucks and food supplies at the Lebombo border post between South Africa and Mozambique, warning of a looming humanitarian and economic crisis in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. The association has criticized delayed intervention by the SADC Chair and Mozambique's opposition, cautioning that these disruptions could trigger mass migration and destabilize neighboring countries. AUBBTA also condemned Zimbabwean authorities for confiscating goods from citizens crossing into South Africa and called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to uphold African trade agreements.
