Many of us may remember in 2020 in the wake of the covid19 pandemic, there were widespread reports of coronavirus-related discrimination against Africans in China with Africans living in the country, sharing their experiences. Concerns were also raised around race-based containment policies during the pandemic.
Human rights watch is calling on the Chinese government to acknowledge and condemn anti-Black racism prevalent on the Chinese internet and adopt measures to promote tolerance and fight prejudice.
