Algeria and Mali are currently undergoing a diplomatic reset to repair relations after a severe almost two- year  conflict brought ties to an all-time low. The fallout  peaked in late 2023 when Mali's military junta abandoned the 2015 Algiers Peace Accord, accusing Algeria of political interference and sheltering rebels.
