Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Economic Development in the Gauteng province of South Africa, Lebogang Maile, says Africa's manufacturing sector faces significant hurdles which include inadequate infrastructure, unreliable energy supplies, limited access to finance and skills gap. He was speaking at the two-day Manufacturing Indaba which began in Johannesburg on Tuesday. The Indaba is attended by role players in the sector from across the African continent.
