Africa’s relationship with foreign Aid

The relationship between the country Uganda and big Western donors was damaged following its anti LGBTIQ+ law. Last year the World Bank halted giving new loans to Uganda over its anti-LGBTIQ+ law.

And now the US has removed Uganda from the African Growth and Opportunity Act (Agoa). In reaction to this, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni previously claimed that he believes that Africa can grow without Western aid.
