The world's largest fossil fuel companies are projected to earn nearly three thousand dollars every second this year, even as millions of people continue to struggle with access to affordable energy. That's according to new research from Oxfam, released as global attention turns to a major conference in Santa Marta, Colombia, focused on transitioning away from fossil fuels. The meeting brings together governments, experts and civil society to discuss how to deliver a just and equitable shift to cleaner energy systems.
