More than 2 000 professional accountants and key stakeholders from over 65 countries convened at the Kigali Convention Centre this week,  for the official opening of the 8th Africa Congress of Accountants (ACOA), the continent's premier accountancy gathering.

 The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA ), Global President Ayla Majid, delivered a keynote address on workforce development and economic growth, offering a preview of ACCA's upcoming Africa Talent Trends 2025 report.

The research explores major shifts in the profession, including AI, hybrid work, entrepreneurial drive, ageism, social mobility, and the rising cost of living.
