Key stakeholders in the Tourism sector both private and government have gathered for the event from across the continent.

The Acting President has lauded the forum saying it's one of its kind that highlights tourism as a major economic pillar to diversify African economies.

7th Africa Tourism Leadership Forum 2024 underway in Gaborone, Botswana

With three -days into the New Year, South African Talent Strategist - Leadership Expert and Executive Coach Anja van Beek, has shared why people should ditch New Year's resolutions.  A 2024 study shows that less than a month into the new year, only 59 percent of people who made multiple resolutions had kept all of them. After that, the stick-to-it rate typically slides even more. van Beek spoke to Channel Africa News Reporter, Thuto Ngobeni on the steps to follow in order to ensure success by the end of the year.

The African Unite Borders Bus Trucks Association (AUBBTA) has raised concerns over the suspension of trucks and food supplies at the Lebombo border post between South Africa and Mozambique, warning of a looming humanitarian and economic crisis in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. The association has criticized delayed intervention by the SADC Chair and Mozambique's opposition, cautioning that these disruptions could trigger mass migration and destabilize neighboring countries. AUBBTA also condemned Zimbabwean authorities for confiscating goods from citizens crossing into South Africa and called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to uphold African trade agreements.
