In this week’s edition of Africa of the Future, we shine a spotlight on Africa- G20 relations. This after Germany won the presidency of G20 from China in December last year and hopes to use its position to help the continent achieve economic development. G20 is a group of wealthy European nations. Thomas Silberhorn, German secretary of state in the ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation talk at length about his country ‘s plans at the T20 Conference held in Johannesburg recently, bringing together think-tanks from Africa, Germany, university leaders, decision makers and African regional organisations to discuss what future cooperation between the G20 and Africa could and should look like. We also feature Patrick Hayford, former Ghanaian High Commissioner to South Africa and Stanley Subramoney, chairman of NEPAD Business Foundation.
