September is recognised as Arbor Month, with this year's theme, "My Tree, My Oxygen, Plant Yours Today", highlighting tree planting, indigenous species and the need to build more resilient urban forests.

Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo is also playing a role in promoting greener, healthier public spaces across the city.
