South Africa's (SA) Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga, has launched the Women Trade Intervention Dialogue. The dialogue served as the launch for the 2025 Woman's Month Under the theme "Building Resilient Economies for All".
SA commemorates Women's Month in August as a tribute to the more than 20 000 women who marched to the Union Buildings on the 9th of August in 1956 to protest against the apartheid pass laws.
