South Africa (SA) says it is strengthening cultural ties with other countries as part of efforts to boost international co-operation and grow its creative economy.
Deputy Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Peace Mabe says the government is expanding cultural agreements to deliver practical benefits. She was speaking in the capital, Pretoria, at an event honouring internationally acclaimed SA artist and sculptor Professor Pitika Ntuli.
