Report reveals stark gender income disparities among SA men and women

The Bureau of Market Research (BMR) at the University of South Africa (Unisa) has released its latest Personal Income Estimates for South Africa (2020-2025).  Gender disparities are particularly stark. Although women make up 53% of the adult population  they receive only 41.8% of cash flow income. Men, who represent 47% of the adult population, earn 58.2% of total income. Channel Africa’s Sisi Segalo spoke to the Head of  Personal Finance Research Division at the Bureau of Market Research Jacolize Meiring.
