A video on social media has sparked outrage around South Africa. The video which was shot at Milnerton High School - situated in the Milnerton suburb of Cape Town, Western Cape province, has exposed what appears to be a brutal act of bullying and assault.

The footage which reportedly dates back to Thursday, 16 October 2025, shows a group of older learners allegedly surrounding and attacking a Grade 10 learner in what is being described as an initiation ritual. In the disturbing clip, a learner is forced to stand with his hands against a wall while other pupils, some holding belts, a hose-pipe, hockey sticks and wooden logs deliver blows and taunts.

The United Democratic Movement (UDM), a political party in South Africa,  has strongly condemned the act and they now join us on the show.
