Cross-border payments across Africa continue to face high fees and delays, largely due to their reliance on foreign banking systems. This is according to payments company Onafriq, which states that this inefficiency costs the continent billions each year.
In response, Onafriq has partnered with US-based stablecoin issuer, Circle to pilot blockchain-based solutions.
