Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says she is confident that South Africa will advance the Southern African Development Community’s (SADC) goals of industrialisation, regional integration and resilience when it assumes the Chairship of the regional bloc.

Nandi-Ndaitwah made the remarks during the fourth session of the South Africa–Namibia Bi-National Commission in Pretoria. She emphasised the importance of strengthening regional cooperation and pursuing shared development objectives for the benefit of all people in the region.

The Namibian President also expressed support for South Africa as host of the 46th Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government in August 2026 and wished the country success in discharging its responsibilities within the regional organisation.
