A cold and severe weather system is sweeping across South Africa, bringing disruptive snowfall to parts of the Eastern Cape, heavy rain, freezing temperatures and strong winds in several regions. Authorities have issued high-level warnings, with some areas already experiencing dangerous travel conditions and road closures due to snow and ice.
