A high-level gathering of Health Ministers in Lusaka, Zambia began today for the 75th session of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Committee for Africa. The Ministers' role as decision-makers and the importance of their collective action on a regional scale, will come into focus as they reflect on several issues over the next couple of days. In delivering his opening address at the summit, the Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the region's many achievements should not be overshadowed by its challenges.
