The FW de Klerk Foundation has raised serious concern over the escalation of anti-undocumented migrant protests, intimidation, and the scapegoating of foreign nationals in South Africa. The foundation says such actions are not “community grievances”, but constitute a direct violation of the Constitution and the rule of law.
It warns that a failure to act decisively risks undermining South Africa’s democratic settlement and moral foundations.
