In a powerful call for unity and self-determination amongst women in Africa, the Director for Science Diplomacy Capital for Africa at South Africa's Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, Lindiwe Gama, has emphasised the critical importance of collaboration across the African continent to drive science, innovation, and women's empowerment. Speaking to Channel Africa on the sidelines of the South Africa-Tunisia Women's Day Celebration in Pretoria, Gama praised the decade-long science and technology partnership between the two nations - crediting strong leadership, shared commitment, and resource support for its success. She also urged South Africans, especially young women, to seize opportunities across Africa, as the continent strengthens its collective pursuit of knowledge-based growth and development.
