Tonight, the African media fraternity is mourning the sudden passing of Jonisayi "Warchild" Maromo, a veteran Pan-African journalist and Pretoria Bureau Chief for the African News Agency (ANA). Maromo, who had nearly two decades of experience covering international relations, crime and investigative politics, passed away in Zimbabwe while visiting his ailing mother. Tsepiso Makwetla spoke to Dianah Chiyangwa, a fellow award-winning Zimbabwean-born Photojournalist based in Johannesburg. She was a close peer and professional collaborator of Maromo.
