The 46th Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government is underway in Durban, South Africa, at a time when Southern Africa faces significant economic, security and geopolitical challenges.
The Summit comes against a backdrop of persistent instability in parts of the region, youth unemployment, energy insecurity and global economic uncertainty.
