On Africa Gender Indaba this week, we focus on efforts to end female genital mutilation (FGM), an age-old practice in Africa and several parts of the world that has been declared a human rights violation of women and girls as it poses threats to their health and development.
In recent years there has been evidence that the inclusion of men and boys in the campaign to end FGM will bolster these attempts.
To look at this, Khopotso Bodibe profiles organisations that work with men and boys towards the elimination of the practice.
