Transcending Identities…With Hayden Moon

Curtis McGrath OAM, an Australian paracanoeist and former soldier. He took up canoeing competitively after both of his legs were amputated as a result of a mine blast while serving with the Australian Army in Afghanistan. In this episode, Curtis recalls the moment the mine detonated, and explains the vital role friends and family play in the lives of people with disability.

"I often look at my life, would I go back and change what happened to me? Absolutely not. I've had an amazing experiences that have led me to become a four time Paralympic gold medalist and meet amazing people and tell my story."

Khadija talks about her own experience of female genital mutilation and living with chronic pain, while actively working to eliminate the practice.
