"You do the crime, you do the time." That simple slogan just doesn't work for us any more. It doesn't acknowledge how unfair the laws are applied. It doesn't look at the effect mass incarceration is having on our nation, on the families of our nation. Other Western nations could truly teach us something on this issue.
