Ephraim Finch: The True Essence Of Life

View descriptionShare

Is death something to be afraid of; or is it something to be enriched by? Joining Sarah Grynberg is former director of Melbourne's Jewish Burial Society – the Chevra Kadisha, Ephraim Finch. Having spent 30 years as a morgue director, Ephraim washed and took care of the bodies of over 10,000 dead people, and even kept records of the holocaust survivors who had died, by photographing the numbers on their forearms. Here, Sarah invites us into one of her most powerful conversations - as Ephraim takes us beyond the realms of our solid belief system, to learn not only about the process of death, but about the richness of life, and how the soul lives on. In addition to this, they discuss losing those we love; how to process our pain; and the ways to navigate the waves of grief. If you are deeply interested in the selfless acts of unconditional love that have the potential to exist in each and every one of us, and are longing to be emotionally uplifted through your own grieving process, then this soulful discussion and Ephraim's soothing words will not only immerse you with light and hope but invite you in to celebrate the journey of the human spirit.

*Trigger warning as this episode does contain stories of death and loss, but it is one of the most powerful conversations I have ever had.
