Fall Daylight Savings Time brings shorter days and less sunlight, resulting in seasonal affective disorder (SAD) for some. It can also bring the holiday blues as it's a time where we get into Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
Anyone can experience the holiday blues, however those with prior mental health conditions can be more prone to holiday depression. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 64% of people with an existing mental illness note that the holidays make their condition worse.
