Andy started her radio journey as a presenter on Stellenbosch-based station MFM 92.6 while studying for a BSc Honors in Psychology at Stellenbosch University.

She’s been at our sister station Kfm 94.5 since 2015, first as an overnight presenter, late nights then the Sunday Weekend Breakfast show.

She is proudly a small-town girl, with a big personality, and if her show is anything to go by, she’s rocking the big city well.

He bid farewell to 947 after 14 years to join its sister station Kfm 94.5 on “Kfm Mornings with Darren, Sherlin and Sibs”.

We are excited to have the legendary Whackhead Simpson’s pranks back on 947. While Darren is based in Cape Town, he still connects with Joburg listeners and encompasses all that the city is about; fun and irreverent humour as well as a big personality.

The team that will be Whackhead and Andy will bring endless laughter and fun to the unsuspecting listeners who will be the subjects of the pranks. On 1 September 2014 the station decided to drop the logo that they have been using for over a decade. The station is also no longer known as Highveld Stereo as the name changed to being just 947.

According to the latest BRC RAM figures shows that 947 has crossed the milestone of 1 million listeners per week. The survey indicated that 947 has 1,055,000 listeners, up from 704,000 year-on-year – a huge leap and one that makes 947 the biggest regional station in Gauteng.
