Joburg’s got jokes like that. We all drop the big names because they sound cooler. “I live in Fourways.” Nah babe… you’re probably in Magaliessig, Lonehill, Sunninghill, or Dainfern.

“I’m in Roodepoort.” Sure… but is that Wilro Park, Florida Glen, Florida Hills, Ontdekkerspark, or Ruimsig? And don’t even get us started on “I stay in Sandton.” Really? Sandton… or Bryanston, Rivonia, Illovo, Hyde Park, or Buccleuch?

Joburg is layered. Roodepoort is known. Fourways is known. Sandton is known. But inside those big names? Mini-suburbs hide like secret levels in a game. Case in point: there’s literally a place called Joburg North. Think you’re in Fourways? Technically… you’re not.
